While we work on our new web site in anticipation of the first CD release I have replaced a number of our previously
avilable sound clips with a few things below. We were still finalizing the new studio and installing new gear for the fianl
recording of the songs written so far. In the mean time I could not resist getting in Skippy's studio to work on my drum sounds
and get an idea of where my sound was coming from. I have tried numerous mic's and still revert back to the Sure sm98,Beta
52, and 57s for the kit. I like Skip's overheads as the cymbals sound fantastic in a basic mix like those of the sequences
below. The following demonstrations of various grooves were played along with sequences from a Yamaha DTXtreme module and
were posted for Roine Stolt of The Flower Kings. He was considering me for the latest TFK CD. Ultimately geographic considerations
prevailed and working between Sweden and Central Illinois did not make sense....but I do love TFK and Roine Stolt's music.
Thanks Roine! Check them out. These were single pass takes from a session at Ric Major's studio.

Talk To-Go Figure ( Brian Cutright)
I've had the pleasure of working with some very talented people
in the area. This tune is from one of Brian Cutright's projects Kevin Ellis and I worked on a few years back. Brian is a Springfield
area singer/songwriter and has written some great tunes over the years . His current project, The Oohs, has been met with
much critical acclaim. The clip here is from the Go Figure project and was recorded live by Ric Major at the Atrium . The
song is called Talk To.
